Madmapper

The software we used to projection map was called 'madmapper'. In mad mapper we had to map out the different sections that we wanted to project onto, which in this case it was a cake, and align the centre and ends in proportion to the cake. After we made the sections we could put an animation over it to make the cake look like it was moving.

Cake Mapping

We used a mask that was premade in the shape of the cake to mask the cake with it. I cut the different layers into different sections and I had put warping points in the middle of it to align the middle of the mask to the middle of the projection. Warping points allow you to warp the image from that specific point.

Qlab

Qlab can also be used to projection map. Projection mapping with Qlab is similar to madmapper as you import a mask into Qlab and the black areas are the areas where it wont project and the white area is where it will project. Then you can scale your video to fit within the white area of the mask.
