Sound Effects
Sound effects are different sound to add onto already existing sound to mainly set the scene for whatever is happening and and altogether get a greater understanding of what is going on.
Four Different SFX
Spot effects - for a single instance, Atmosphere/ambiance/soundscape - a collection of sounds together to set the mood or tone
Foley - sounds created live on stage
music - for songs or to fill in behind a character talking.
Sourcing
When sourcing sound effects you can use sounds created from scratch. You can use original recordings made by yourself or you can use free web libraries, where other people have made sounds free for you to use. Examples of these libraries are Freesounds.org, 99sounds.org/releases, and many more. In these libraries, you can download sounds others have recorded, the types of sound that you can find on these libraries are endless.
