Lighting
In lighting, I have learnt about the different plugs for different lighting fixtures and how they work. We also learnt how to plug them in with the right power and how to do it safely. We then got taught how to connect the lights to the console and how to make them work and why doing it slightly wrong could mess it up.

Lighting Designer
Lighting design is important as that is where you chose where the lights will be and what they will do and look like during a show.
Lighting Technician
Lighting tech is important as that is where you rig the lights and plug them in to make them work with the desk.
A lighting technician works with the lighting designer to rig the lights. The lighting designer has to make sure all the lights are rigged and set up safely and plugged in with the channel set correctly for each one.
